If you add a tragic romance with a suspenseful thriller and wrap that whole thing in the wildest possible vacation you could imagine, you would have 'The Missing' by Kiersten Modglin. ~~~~~~~~~~
I was in the mood for an interesting thriller and, reading through comments, put this book on my radar. It completely did the trick! I read through this one in a day. Imagine that you’re relaxing on vacation and your husband is too busy with work to hang out with you, so you’re enjoying yourself some drinks and reading (what I would consider a fairly perfect vacation, if you ask me). Someone comes along and offers you a free boat ride. I am pretty sure that I’d be suspicious, but our main character, Katy, decided it sounded like a good idea to get on that boat, which she soon founds was not the best decision. The characters were great, with a sweet romance and a wonderful surprise at the end. I was engaged within the story from the beginning, feeling quite involved with the characters without a lot of extra details before the adventure starts. It's definitely a book I would recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
