Books for the Week of May 2nd

Spelling out the name of the month with books was a posting on Instagram that inspired me to go through my recent reads and pull together a few that represented everything from DARK to LIGHT AND FUNNY.

M - ‘Mafia Indebted’

Beenish Saquib’s ‘Mafia Indebted’ https://www.amazon.in/Mafia-indebted-1-4-Beenish-saquib-ebook/dp/B098LQ6HYS is a dark romance between a twisted mafia boss who becomes indebted to an innocent doctor.

If you like dark, intricate characters then you will love this. At times you will want to kill and kiss the main character at the same time, a commendable feat in the mafia genre.

A - ’A Murder in Time’

Julie McElwain's (https://www.juliemcelwainauthor.com/) Murder in Time series is fantastic.

" When brilliant FBI agent Kendra Donovan stumbles back in time and finds herself in a 19th century English castle under threat from a vicious serial killer, she scrambles to solve the case before it takes her life—200 years before she was even born. "

The main character is a little too perfect for my personal taste, but then again, I love a good quirky or problematic protagonist! However, time travel is always a draw for me so I did really enjoy this book and the series.

Y - ‘You’ve Got Tail’

USA Today bestselling author Renee George’s (https://www.renee-george.com/) cozy mystery is hilarious. Kidnapping, murder, and a town full of people hiding the truth will keep Sunny Haddock busy as she tries to unravel the strange happenings in Peculiar, Missouri.

I am not even sure how to describe the fun ride this one was! A slightly out of whack psychic vet moving a couple of days before a full moon into a town of shifters that hates humans…what could go wrong? It is a perfect read for those days you just need a great laugh.
