I was in the mood for a fun story to lighten up my life and happened across this author at a summit I had attended recently and had added her books to my never ending 'must read' list. I picked up Love Clichés Sweet RomCom Book 1 - 'Falling for Your Best Friend's Twin'
This book is so engaging I read it all in one sitting. The heroine, Abby, is lovely and very relatable, with a feisty and witty character and super intelligence. Her moments of vulnerability with Zane give her a delightful charm and her sense of humor is hilarious! I’m talking laugh-out-loud hilarious. She’s one of those gals you would recruit as a best friend, if you ever met her in real life. Her insecurities are understandable and at times you want to hug her, protecting this delightfully all-around good girl. Zane is a sweet guy who is serious, and at times a bit uptight, but Abby has the ability to make him into an attractive man. The chemistry between them is evident and the romantic tension is wonderful to experience. The clincher for me was the underlying mystery that was the subplot, a definite plus to the story and added a delightful complexity to the read, especially for a suspense junky like myself. I highly recommend this book. I am so glad I found this series and cannot wait to read the next book.
