Eva lives an 'idyllic life'. In fact, some people would kill for this lifestyle, an endless allowance for clothing and spa days, a personal chef, chauffeur, and private flights to anywhere she wants.

 

What they don’t understand is that the pay for such a life comes with a long list of ‘requirements’ that essentially means that 'freedom' is a four letter word around her family. As the only granddaughter to the Don she will do as expected to prevent the impending war, even if it possibly means falling into the hands of the same men who had kidnapped her when she was on the cusp of turning thirteen so many years ago. An event so devastating that she remains withdrawn and unable to allow anyone to touch her still to this day.
